History:
Osnovna sola Oskar Kovacic was established in 1958.
Location:
The school is located in suburban part of Ljubljana (Slovenian capital) in three different locations. (Therefore) It is visited by many children from emigrant families.
Size:
The school has altogether 973 students and 62 teachers. In the first four classes are 439 students and 27 (age 6-10) teachers. In 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th class are 535 students and 35 (age 10-15) teachers. The school is one of the biggest primary school in Slovenia.
Experience:
School is involved in two Comenius projects and it runs many other projects. School also organises many afternoon activities (theatre, literature and journalism, singing, history, ecology, mathematics, chess, sports, photography, astronomy, debate, etc.).
