Gimnazija Vic was established in 1939. It is a grammar school of pre-university level numbering 800 students and 50 teachers. School has been involved in many "external" activities. On international level they are involved in Comenius 1 (Titatnia) and Comenius 3 (The Tresure Within) projects. It has many international connections (UNESCO, The Global Young Leadership, Model European Parliment), and practises student exchange (Laar & Berg from Netherlands (1999/00), Ava Gymnasium from Sweden (2001/02)). School also organizes many afternoon activities (chees, sports, photography, astronomy, debete, film, choir, newspapers, Šila etc.), and is active in social work (hepling disabeld & hencicapped, SOS phone, collecting toys etc.).
